I believe that every pregnancy is unique and deserves individualized attention. As your birth doula, I will provide you with the support and resources that you need to feel reassured and confident as your prepare for the birth of your baby.

At Births With Dignity, I strive to support you in achieving your goals for the birth you believe you want to experience. Whether this is your first pregnancy or you have had pregnancies in the past, each pregnancy is different. You deserve the dignity, compassion, respect, and tools to make your birth an informed and comfortable experience.
While your partner, mom, grandmother, other family members or friends may have ideas as to how you should approach your birth, the decisions that you feel are important for your own individual birth are ultimately your choice. You are the one doing the amazing job of birthing this baby into the world.
As your doula I will:
- provide you with compassionate and nurturing support
- help you design a birth plan that is consistent with your desires for this birth
- provide materials to help you with your decisions
- work with you and provide training for your birth experience (classes and/or materials as desired)
- meet with you 3-4 times prior to your labor and delivery
- meet with you and your care provider 1 time prior to your labor and delivery
- be present during your labor and delivery
- stay with you for the first 2 hours after the birth
- provide lactation support immediately after the birth to assist with breast feeding
- meet with you and your baby 1 time postpartum
I will support your decision for the care provider and delivery of your choice, be it a hospital birth, home birth, water birth, a medicated birth, or other birthing method. Should the need for a Cesarean birth arise I will be there to support you through the procedure.
I offer childbirth classes and materials to educate and prepare you for your birth experience.
I work with pregnant teens, single parents, LGBTQ, all genders, ethnicities, and religions.
As a doula I do not participate in any vaginal exams, any medical procedures or monitoring of you or your baby.
